Yes: Depending on the cause of endocarditis. Usually fungal endocarditis won't lead to sepsis/septic shock.

U R reversed: Sepsis leads to endocarditis. Specifically, sepsis means there is infection in the blood (which is normally sterile). When bacteria are in the blood stream, they can land on and infect heart valves, resulting in endocarditis.
