Was it Pap smear?: This is not worth worrying too much about. This is simply a screening test for hpv infections which tend to cause abnormal cells in the smear cytology. But nearly 90+ % of these resolve with time. So you should ask your doctor to explain to you what kind of changes were noted and what it means! i can assure you it is not cancer at the moment.
