A member asked:

How can you tell if you are having severe menstrual cramps or if it's appendicitis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

History and Exam...: This can certainly be confusing to distinguish. Appendicitis often starts as pain around the belly button that eventually localized to the right lower side of your belly. There is often associated nausea. These symptoms might also occur in the setting of menstrual cramps and pregnancy! I am happy to help you further. I have a clinic in madison: (608) 227-7007. www.mscwomenshealth.com.
