BMI in active males: At 5'6" and a weight of 175-180, you are in the overweight category on a typical scale. However, if most of that mass is muscle mass, then you are probably healthy. I would suggest seeing a sports medicine physician who is specialist in helping athletes stay healthy, including weight lifters.
