Normal: All heart murmurs are sound caused by blood flow. Abnormal connections (holes), obstructing muscle, blocked arteries, and abnormal valves can all cause murmurs that are not "innocent." in many children, and some adults, normal blood flow can also cause noise. A normal murmur is another name for an innocent or functional murmur. Innocent murmurs do not turn into abnormalities.
