See answer: Taking the full 7-14 day course of antibiotics is the most important thing to help get rid of the infection. Symptoms usually improve within 2-4 days. Drinking plenty of fluids, rest, and tyenol for fever and pain are important as well. She is at increased risk for another infection, so she will require close monitoring and possible daily antibiotic to prevent another infection during pregnancy.
