Make sure your doctor: Rules out other causes weight gain. Do not stop the medication without discussing it with your doctor. Often the withdrawal from an ssri can be stopped by substituting another ssri that is long-acting, such as prozac, (fluoxetine) in its place on a temporary basis. Best wishes.
