A member asked:

My husband suffering from crash cough from cold, and hid vocal sound was affected by cold, so what can i do for him?his age is 33.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Laryngitis: Treatment for viral laryngitis is supportive and staying well hydrated, breathing humidified air, taking Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen for pain control and being patient is necessary to allow time for the vocal cords to rest and recover. There are some who might prescribe a short course of steroids, but this is seldom necessary. Hope he is better soon.
