If you have risk factors for artery disease (nicotine, hypertension, diabetes, family history or hyperlipidemia) wound healing could be delayed and infection risk is higher. Be well.

Draining wound: The wound should be evaluated by a wound specialist. The wound fluid/drainage should be appropriately cultured to determine the contents of the drainage, and possibly isolating bacteria that may be causing the wound to drain.
