Yes: Antibiotic induced diarrhea or looser bowel movements can be a side effect of antibiotics which alter the normal bacterial makeup of the intestines and also may allow abnormal bacteria to take over and cause colitis. If you're having severe diarrhea a culture of your stool sample is recommended as some of the abnormal bacteria(like clostridium difficile) require treatment. Take probiotic to help.
