Would loratadine(claritin) relieve ear pain?

Unlikely: Claritin is an antihistamine with good relief for itching, sneezing, runny nose with less effect on nasal congestion. Ear pain that is caused by allergies may be slightly relieved, but typically, a decongestant that decreases nasal congestion is better suited to relieve the ear pain that goes along with eustachian tube dysfunction. A nasal steroid spray may be even more effective.
