How detrimental is radon in your home?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I say it's not: I followed this business since the early 1980's and I believe that the risk to ordinary folks is essentially zero. Results are inconsistent as to whether it increases a smoker's cancer risk. The worst danger is that you may be mandated to spend thousands of your own dollars to "radon-proof" your home based on science that's dubious at best. There's no "radon in the home" syndrome.
