Double Chin: Excess fat and skin laxity can contribute to a double chin. Maintain a healthy weight with diet and exercise. Avoid large fluctuations in weight and excessive sun exposure that can lead to skin laxity. Some people develop a double chin because of bone and muscle features that cannot be altered with diet and exercise and require surgery for correction.
