A member asked:

Growing pains for a 14 year old, what to do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Water and stretching: Getting adequate water intake (take your body weight, divide by 2 - that's how many ounces of water to try and drink daily) and daily stretching are the two most important things your child can do to diminish growing pains. Teen should spend 20-30 minutes daily doing isometric stretching if having growing pains, focusing on the muscle/tendon/ligament groups that are casuing symptoms.
