Dryness: The most common cause for this is lowered or altered tear secretion. Try over the counter lubricating drops (never use drops that say "gets the red out" - as these are drying). If those drops don't work then see your ophthalmologist for a firmer diagnosis.

Several options: Redness and itchiness are most commonly symptoms of dry eye, blepharitis and ocular allergies. Lubricating eye drops may help, otherwise there are lid scrubs with baby shampoo to treat blepharitis, and lastly, eye drops or allergy pills if the cause may be allergies.
