Nerve destruction: The sympathetic nerves are often related transmission of pain and the lumbar sympathetics are usually treated with patients having lower extremity pain. There are sympathetic nerves that also affect the abdomen and pelvis. This procedure can be performed several ways. The nerves can be destroyed with heat, cold, chemicals or surgically resected. The least invasive would be with heat or cold.
