Treatment: Treatment is simple and should be initiated as soon as possible. It consists of constant! splinting at 0 degrees of the distal inter-phalengeal joint for 6 weeks. Followed by night time splinting for 2 more weeks. While delayed treatment can be successful best results occur with immediate care. Success of splinting is > 90% if initiated quickly following injury.
