I have never been to a foot doc in my life. my co-worker is diabetic and she said her foot doc took blood out of a vein in her lower leg, what is this for?

Varicose Veins: Most likely she is talking about varicose vein surgery. Varicose veins can be collapsed so that they stop filling with blood. In people with diabetes, varicose veins can lead to severe swelling and open wounds, so that is likely the reason she had it done.
