Topical medications: Protopic is equivalent to moderate strength topical corticosteroid and it is a preferred medication for eczema maintenance. It should work for treating eczema. Make sure you also use lot of skin moisturizer to keep your skin healthy and prevent flare ups.

Yes: It is not a steroid, so it is preferred on the face, especially eyelids. It is too expensive for widespread use on other areas. If you need long-term treatment in genital area, it might be appropriate. Otherwise a topical steroid is preferred. Of course attention to dry skin is basic.
