Singer off tune: Often times singers have issues which cause their voices to sound hoarse. Most often they are unable to hit their high notes and their range is off. The two most common problems are reflux and allergy. For reflux avoid spicy foods and follow a low acid diet. Avoid tomatoes and caffeine as well as chocolate. For allergy try an over the counter antihistimine like claritin (loratadine). See an ENT voice doctor.
