A member asked:

Can the removal of the prostate gland prevent erection?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. James Lin answered

No if...: Total prostate removal will not affect the ability to get erection if the blood vessels and nerves supplying the penis and its surrounding tissue or organs are well preserved; if not preserved, ED ensues. Also, note: One would not expect to see ejaculation such as that after radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer.
