No, are different: Prastatomegaly just means a large or enlarged prostate gland. Prostatitis indicates inflammation of prostate gland either bacterial or non-bacterial. Prostatitis usually causes enlargement of prostate gland, in which case it can cause prostatomegaly. Most cases of prostatomegaly are due to BPH (Benign prostatic hypertrophy)
