Lumbar nerve: A lumbar nerve block is 1 way to treat pain caused by compression of a lumbar nerve root. It can be done " blind" or via fluoroscopy or us guidance. Local anaesthetic and a steroid is injected close to the nerve. If the correct nerve location is identified, the pain will resolve.
