In what way can hypertension effect my vision?

Mostly little effect: Hypertension can only affect the eye if it is wildly out of control (systolic greater than 200; diastolic greater than 160). Below these levels you have a strain on the heart and a risk to the brain but rarely any problems with the eyes. Higher levels than noted above can cause eye bleeding and changes in vision.
