Otitis: The duration of ear infections vary greatly from person to person. Some are treated with antibiotics and can resolve within a week others need a longer time due to the disfunction of the eustacian tube.Age is another factor...Young children sometimes can take a long time and some even need surgical intervention by an ent.( tubes).
