A member asked:

How can angiogenesis and invasion influence tumor growth and metastasis in a patient with breast cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The general concept: The general concept behind angiogenesis promoting cancer metastasis growth is that cancer cells / tumors use more nutrients and therefore need more blood flow than usual to grow to a large size, and that if we can inhibit this new vessel growth stimulated by tumors, we can limit the growth of the tumor.
