First things first: You need to determine the cause of the recession. Periodontitis (gum disease)? Brushing too hard? Grinding your teeth? Vitamins alone will not solve these conditions. Have yourself examined by a local dentist, with radiographs, to determine what problems you may have. Afterward, you can discuss a healthy diet together with any supplements that you might need.

Not for that: Most of us would like to be healthy ; certainly eating nourishing foods can help us attain that goal. I believe too many people look to the use of vitamins, minerals, supplements, etc as a way of ensuring that we get what our body's need. It would be much better to eat healthy meals from all the food groups, especially fruits ; vegetables. Specifically for gum recession, seek dental advice instead.

C, E, A, and D: Vitamins C, E, A, and D are especially important in playing a role in oral health. However, in most cases you need to take help of dentists. Otherwise vitamins for receding gums are insufficient.
