Can i take zinc to treat leishmaniasis?

Yes: But i highly doubt it will do anything. It's not been shown to be effective or approved for leishmaniasis treatment.

Won't work: Leishmaniasis is effectively treated with antimony. Zinc is another heavy element and this is about all that they have in common. It's a reasonable lay person's guess, but it's your life and health and you deserve real treatment.

Zinc: One study - indicated that oral zinc sulphate can be helpful in the treatment of acute cutaneous leishmaniasis. REF https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1046/j.1365-2230.2001.00752.x
