Like other forms of depression, it occurs more often in women than in men.People who live in places with long winter nights are at greater risk for sad.

No: It is caused seasonal because it has recurrent pattern of occurring at certain times of the year. Most people who have SAD experience symptoms in the fall or winter. But there are a smaller number of people who have their episodes in the spring and summer.
