A member asked:

Why do kids with ds have trouble eating some foods like pb?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sticky foods: I trust you mean kids with Down syndrome having trouble eating peanut butter. Peanut butter is sticky and requires intact neuro-musuclar coordination for safe consumption. Neurologic deficit in Down syndrome may make it more dangerous to eat sticky foods.
