Please help docs! where are unwanted medications supposed to be disposed?

First: Do not dump down sink or flush down toilet. There is evidence that disposed of medications are contaminating our water supply. Mix unwanted meds in unappealing garbage like kitty litter, coffee grounds, food scraps to make it unappealing to pets children and drug seekers. Some communities/pharmacies have drug disposal programs where you can turn drugs in.
