Depends on: Issue. For most general, chronic knee pain, quad and hamstring strengthening can be very beneficial. If it is oa, or mild injury, nsaids can be used to help with the pain. Past that, head vs cold, which ever feels better to you, range of motion, bracing, etc, can all help. If injured or unknown cause, consider seeing a physician for physical exam.
