Tension: Many people express their tension or stress grinding their teeth. To prevent damage to your teeth your dentist should build a protection that use at least during the night (night guard). Also, seek psychological help if you are having too much stress.

Day and night?: Let's start with the day while you are awake. If you notice yourself clenching, simply stop. Take account of what triggers that response and be prepared. If you do it while working out have your dentist fabricate a custom made night guard. This is what you can wear at night. The clenching puts excessive stress on your teeth and fatigues muscles. Not just the mouth, but, your neck and back.
