A member asked:

Safe way to get a used needle out of biohazard container? need the one they used for my injection to analyze needle contamination (microbes, viruses)

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Contamination: Don't do this. Once in that container it may well have been contaminated by other materials within the container, and the very reason these containers are used is to prevent you from being inadvertently exposed to the pathogens that may be within them. Analyzing the flora on the needle will be grossly misleading and an inappropriate means of data collection.
