Is nerve stimulation for pain like ect?

No: Nerve stimulation for pain affects the pain pathways in the spinal cord. Ect is directed at the brain for treatment of psychiatric mood disorders. These are two completely different modalities.

ECT: Ect is a controlled 30 to 40 sec seizure to "reboot" the brain chemicals, nerve stimulation is specific to a nerve causing pain.
