Oral Herpes: It all depends on where you are infected. And is this a new or old infection?

You are FIRST trimes: If you carry the baby 2-3 weeks after infection begins, your body develops immunity which is passed onto the baby for several months. If the baby comes sooner, your body may not yet be producing antibodies. Then the baby needs to be closely observed because herpes in a newborn is very serious.
