Unlikely: By the time you have missed your period, your home pregnancy test will usually be positive if you are pregnant. Nothing is absolute, but it isn't likely you are pregnant. Recheck in a few days if you feel pregnant and your period hasn't started. See your doctor if concerned about it.

Yes and no: Depending upon if and when you ovulated, conceived and which pregnancy test you used. The most sensitive home pregnancy test detects urine levels of HCG at 20miu. This could be as early as 7-8 days after ovulation and fertilization but it is best to wait until you have missed a period and have two positive tests at least a day apart.
