Hormones: The risks of menopausal hormones in healthy women is age related. Estrogen is beneficial in the 50's and detrimental in the 70's. The main risks is vascular, such as heart attack, stroke, pulmonary embolism, thromboembolism, phlebitis etc. Hormone used for more than 5 years may increase breast cancer.
