A member asked:

I am seth, a 25-year-old man. i recently noticed that i have a high pulse of about 112 per minute. my heart is racing but no pain so far. is it wrong?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many causes, Seth: First, be sure you measure it at complete rest - it's supposed to race if you're busy. If it continues to race, common causes can include: infection, anemia, pain, anxiety, thyroid excess, caffeine (from coffee or cocoa), and many rare causes.
