Carpal tunnel: Repetitive hand use can lead to numbness and tingling due to overuse and thickening of a ligament across the wrist. The pain is often worse at night time. Reducing the repetitive movement and wearing wrist splints at night often eliminates the numbness and tingling. If the pain persists, see a neurosurgeon or hand surgeon to evaluate the pain.
