A member asked:

Pain in jugular vein after being hit by a fast ball. should i be concerned?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pain in neck: First off, not sure how you determined that the pain is in the jugular vein. It's fairly narrow structure and i doubt your pain is limited to that small area of skin/neck. I suggest calling it neck pain. If you only have pain and slight swelling but no other symptoms (dizziness, difficulty, painful swallowing, palpitations, breathing troubles), it may be ok to watch. If + or you're in doubt see md.
