MESENTERIC ADENITIS:: An inflammatory condition of mesenteric lymph nodes with enlargement >10mm, with acute or chronic abdominal pain. Causes: viral (common), bacterial (e.g. Yersinia enterocolitica/ pseudotuberculosis, cat scratch disease, gr. A strep. Etc), lymphoma, inflammatory bowel disease, etc. Your son needs further tests to find out the cause. Tylenol (acetaminophen) 1gm every 6h is not the answer as not doing better.
