A member asked:

What is blood pressure like during a stroke? is it high, low or normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Typically goes up: During the acute phase of a stroke, blood pressure will increase in response to the brain issues, but over the next several days may stabilize back to baseline. Often, we will not treat the acute elevation to prevent even further decrease in brain blood flow.
