Not ovulating: After their first periods, all girls are early in establishing their menstrual cycle, and they are usually not ovulating consistently. While this is happening, and it can go on several years, her periods can be irregular. You didn't state her age, but up to 16 even 17 this is not unusual and is rarely a cause for worry.
