Zoloft (sertraline) ; Nexplanon: Menstrual periods may be irregular because of fluctuating hormone levels, stress, etc. Zoloft (sertraline) may very slightly alter hormone levels via the hypothalamus in some women. Whether this translates to changes in effectiveness of oral contraceptive pills is questionable. Many women with severe pmdd do well on antidepressants ; oral contraceptives. If ocp doses are missed, pregnancy is possible.

No.: One of the side effects of birth control pills like Nexplanon is depression. The zoloft (sertraline) will not affect the effectiveness of Nexplanon but there are side effects inherent to both medications that can affect you like dizziness, headaches, weight gain due to increased appetite. Klonopin will not affect the effectiveness of Nexplanon but it cause hypotension and dizziness.
