A member asked:

Are protruding eyes normal for anyone, or are they always thyroid disease?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

One of main causes: Some people are born with protruding eyes. Some genetic diseases cause protruding eyes, but thyroid is one of the main causes of protruding eyes because of increased thickening of the muscles which causes the eye to protrude.
