Hi doctors, was just wondering what is a discography aka discogram?

Discography: Discography is a provocative imaging test where dye is injected into the center (pulposus) of a disc to determine if there is a tear in the annulus. The purpose of the test is to determine if the disc itself is the source of the pain. A discogram is often performed in conjunction with a cat scan through the injected discs.
