Depends: This can depend on which of the ankle structures are actually fractured. The ankle can hurt on one of both sides of the "bumps" called the malleoli or it can hurt all over. Some people don't even have pain! If you have an injury, seek an opinion from a medical professional that can radiograph the ankle.
