Could be a number: Of things, you should see a foot doc and have xrays taken....You did not tell us is it swollen? Red? Anything look different? Was there an injury?

Foot pain: This isn't much history. The first right thing to do is to see your podiatrist for an evaluation and x rays and you will get a diagnosis and treatment plan
