Depends if they are: Causing problems. A study of asymptomatic patients (no pain or other issues) showed that roughly 40% have bulging or mildly herniated discs and no issues. You may want to be more careful and work on core strengthening to help support those discs. Exercise, hydrate, and keep in shape and as long as you don't notice symptoms, you may just be part of that 40%!
